Who is Becca Kufrin? Everything you need to know about The Bachelorette star

The Bachelorette contestant is more than her break up

Whether or not you watch The Bachelor, you’ve probably heard of Becca Kufrin. Becca won season 22 of the infamous dating show, ending the regular season with a proposal by Ari Luyendyk Jr. But shortly after, Ari dumped her for the runner-up, Lauren Burnham. Of course, the producers were there for the entire thing. Becca’s break-up became the “first completely unedited scene in reality television history” — catching national attention for its raw emotion and real potential to be cripplingly embarrassing to Kufrin.

But she took the airing of her darkest moment like a champ, appearing on ABC’s After The Final Rose to talk about the break-up and announce she was the new Bachelorette. So, what do you need to know about Becca beyond the fact that she’s a complete badass? Here are some fun facts about the Bachelorette and her season.

Becca is the Bachelorette on Season 14

Yeah, it’s been that long. She currently has 28 guys vying for her heart on TV, which sounds really intimidating when you think about it. There have been several scandals involving her contestants. One has been called out for liking homophobic and generally repulsive social media posts, while another has been charged with sex crimes. Nice one, ABC!

No one has won Becca’s season yet, but when they do, we’ll update y’all. Dedicated to the cause.

She’s 28 years old

Her birthday is April 3, 1990. That makes her an Aries. Yikes.

Her hometown is Prior Lake, Minnesota

And she has a love-love relationship with the state. After Ari broke up with her on live TV, a Minnesota state representative wrote and presented a bill banning him from the state. Adorable.

Becca went to Minnesota State University – Mankato and is now a publicist

When she’s not busy being the Bachelorette, Becca works in public relations. She was previously working at a technology PR agency in Minneapolis.

Becca really loves corgis

She’s always posting photos with mystery corgis. She calls herself their “aunt,” meaning they aren’t hers and probably belong to her older sister, Emily. Either way, they’e adorable.

And she really hates Trump

Becca seems to be a pretty staunch Democrat. She’s made several political posts, including a picture confirming she voted for Hillary, a picture at the women’s march, and a picture of her giving a Trump-Pence booth the finger. Big fan.

Overall, Becca seems like a really nice gal

She really loves her family, she goes to church, like, all the time, and she dotes on lots of babies on social media. She seemed to really go on the show to find love, while a lot of her fellow contestants definitely joined in for some FabFitFun sponsorships.

Happy Aztec Day

I really hope she doesn’t get her heart broken again for entertainment value. But honestly? Who knows what ABC has up its sleeve.
